Websites for ADU builders.

You build the unit. I build the site that wins the homeowner: designed, written, and live in seven days.

A-101 site analysis

The homeowner has already searched for you on Google.

An ADU is a six-figure decision. The person making it researches for weeks: permits, financing, setbacks, builders. By the time they call anyone, they've quietly ranked every website in town.

A dated site doesn't lose you all your leads. Just the best ones: the researched, financed, ready-to-sign ones. They call the builder whose website looks as good as your framing.

Tonight, someone is searching:

  1. how much does an adu cost in california
  2. garage conversion vs detached adu
  3. adu permit timeline
  4. how to finance an adu
  5. adu builder near me reviews

Search #6 is your company name. What do they find?

$150–400k
the project on the line
3–5 builders
on every homeowner’s shortlist
~40 seconds
how long your website gets
D-101 demolition plan

Don't take my word for it.
Drag the line.

Hillside ADU Co. is fictional. Its problems aren't. I see every one of them on real builder sites, every week. The redlines below are the same markup I'd hand you on a call. Drag the divider to see the same company after seven days of my work.

A-201 scope of work

One build. Then it stays built.

Two line items, no à la carte maze. The build gets you live in seven days. The retainer keeps it fast, current, and looked after: a maintenance contract for the thing that books your jobs.

The 7-day build

$3,000

half to start, half on approval

  • Design + copy written for homeowners, in your voice
  • Photo curation your best work, pulled from GBP + camera roll
  • Mobile-first build loads in under 2 seconds on a jobsite hotspot
  • Lead capture calls, texts, and forms straight to your phone
  • Permit & process page the questions homeowners Google at 11pm
  • Financing page monthly-payment math, not just build cost
  • Reviews your real Google reviews, pulled in and kept current
  • Launch live on day 7, on your domain

The retainer

$395/mo

cancel anytime, the site stays yours

  • Hosting + domain + SSL handled and renewed
  • Edits within 2 business days
  • New projects added as you finish them
  • Speed + uptime monitored every month
  • Improvements reviewed monthly, tuned as needed
  • No contract traps month to month, site stays yours
Book a 15-minute call

Once the site is converting, we can talk local SEO and ads: phase two, not before.

A-301 sequence of construction

Seven days. Here's each one.

It works because ADU builds are all this studio takes on, so there's no week two spent explaining what a setback is. Your total time in: one call and one review.

  1. 1

    Day 1 · Kickoff call

45 minutes, once. Your best projects, your service area, what a good lead looks like. I record it, and your words become the copy.

  2. 2

    Day 2 · Structure + copy

Page structure and every line of copy, drafted. Permit page, financing page, the FAQ your office answers by phone all day.

  3. 3

    Day 3 · Design

Type, color, layout, built around your photos rather than stock. I pull the best from your Google Business Profile and camera roll.

  4. 4

    Day 4 · Build

Real code, no page builder. Fast on a four-year-old phone on a jobsite hotspot, because that’s where homeowners will open it.

  5. 5

    Day 5 · Your review

A link on your phone. Mark it up like a plan set: “swap this photo, that’s not how I’d say it.” Takes you 20 minutes.

  6. 6

    Day 6 · Revisions + wiring

Your redlines, applied. Lead capture to your phone, reviews pulled in, analytics on, domain connected.

  7. 7

    Day 7 · Launch

Live by end of day, on your domain. The retainer takes over from here: maintained, monitored, improving monthly.

A-401 general notes

You won't have to explain your industry to me.

This studio works in one trade, so the vocabulary below isn't decoration. It's what your homeowners are searching for, and it's already in the copy I write.

“ADU builder” is not “general contractor”

A homeowner searching “ADU builder” has a budget and a timeline. One searching “general contractor” has a leaky faucet. Your site should be built for the first search: page titles, permit answers, financing math, all of it.

The permit page carries the weight

Every city runs its own version of the 60-day clock. A page that plainly says what happens between deposit and demo day (plan check, corrections, utility sign-offs) reads like experience. Because it is.

Financing is where projects close

Most ADUs are funded by home equity, not savings. Builders who show the monthly payment, not just the build cost, sign the homeowners who were “just researching.”

A-501 drawing index

Before and after.

The same ADU company, rebuilt. This is what changes when a site is built to win the homeowner.

Grayson's photo, the person who answers the phone

Small studio. Sharp focus.

I'm Grayson. I design and build websites from San Diego, California. This studio takes on one trade: ADU builders.

When you text with a change, it goes straight to the person who built your site, and it gets fixed, not forwarded. Because ADU work is all this studio does, the kickoff call is about your business instead of a crash course in plan check.

  • Deposit to start balance only when you approve
  • You own everything domain, site, content, no hostages
  • Month to month the retainer has no contract traps
  • Straight answers if I'm not the right fit, I'll say so on the call
A-701 specifications

Fair questions, plain answers.

The same things every builder asks on the first call, answered here so the call can be about your business instead.

How is this different from Wix or Squarespace?

A template hands you a blank canvas and a weekend of frustration. This is a site built around how homeowners actually pick ADU builders: permit answers, financing math, proof of work. Live in seven days and maintained after. The demonstration above is the difference; drag the line.

I already have a website.

Good. That's the existing conditions. If it's winning you the projects you want, keep it and don't pay me. If it looks anything like the left side of the demo, you already know. Send me the link before the call and I'll tell you straight if a rebuild isn't worth it.

Do I own the site?

Yes. Domain registered to you, site in your accounts, content yours. If you leave the retainer, everything goes with you. I keep zero hostages.

What does the retainer actually cover?

Hosting, domain, and SSL handled; edits within two business days; new project photos added as you finish jobs; speed and uptime monitored. Each month I go through the site and flag anything worth improving, then handle what's worth handling. Some months that's a new page, some months it's nothing. It's a maintenance contract for the thing that books your work.

Do you do SEO and ads too?

Yes, as phase two, once the site converts. Ranking a site that loses visitors is pouring water into a cracked bucket. Site first, then local SEO, then ads if the math still makes sense.

Is 'live in 7 days' real?

Yes, because the scope is fixed and ADU builds are all this studio takes on, so no time goes to learning your industry. Day 1 is our call, day 5 is your review, day 7 it's on your domain. Your total time in: about 90 minutes.

What do you need from me?

We start with a 15-minute call to see whether this is a fit. If it is, we book one 45-minute kickoff, and that call is the bulk of your involvement. After that: your logo if you have one, access to your Google Business Profile photos, and honest markup on day 5. You run your crews, I'll run this.

What does it cost to start?

A deposit of half the build, with the balance due only when you approve the finished site on day 5 to 7. No hourly meter, no surprise invoices, no charge for the call.
