Privacy Policy
Last updated September 1, 2026
ADU Web Design ("we," "us") is a web design studio operated by Grayson in San Diego, CA. This policy explains what we collect when you visit aduwebdesign.com or hire us, and what we do with it. We serve clients in the United States, and this site is intended for U.S. visitors.
Information you give us
You only give us information when you choose to — by booking a call, emailing, calling, or texting. That typically means your name, email address, phone number, business name, and whatever you tell us about your project. If you become a client, we also handle the material you send us to build your site (copy, photos, logins you choose to share) and billing details.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies and collects things like:
- Pages you view and how long you stay
- How you arrived (search, a link, an ad, or direct)
- Browser, device type, and operating system
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address — city level, not precise
This is aggregate traffic data. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with the information you send us directly.
How we use it
- To reply to you and schedule calls
- To design, build, launch, and maintain your website
- To send invoices and take payment
- To see which pages and referral sources are working, and improve the site
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. We will not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of outside services to run the studio. Each has its own privacy policy, and each only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Google Analytics — website traffic measurement
- Cal.com — the booking calendar, if you schedule a call
- Our web host and email provider — serving this site and carrying our mail
- Our payment processor — invoicing, if you become a client
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them. To opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, install Google's browser opt-out add-on.
Your rights
Whatever state you live in, you can email us to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will do it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA; we extend the same courtesy to everyone. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law, and we will never charge you or treat you differently for making a request.
Retention and security
We keep project files and correspondence for as long as we work together, plus a reasonable period afterward for our records and tax obligations, then delete them. The site is served over HTTPS, and we use reputable vendors — but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is for business owners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be obvious.
